Freeing up space on C drive?

MY 6 Gb C drive is almost 100% full! I've tri3ed Disk cleanup and this only
frees up a few hundred Mb.

Is there an equivalent of Creating a System Restore point and then deleting
all previous restore points in Windows 2000 Professional (I'm aware there's
no actual 'system restore' utility in W20000.

If not, how best to clear as much space as possible as quickly as possible
(I'd rather not create a partitionif it can be avoided)

As you say, there is no System Restore facility in Win2000, hence
you can neither create nor delete any restore points.

You can move some data elsewhere but a more permanent solution
would be to clone your old disk onto a new disk. Disks are cheap!
 
Is the Drive actually 6GB, or is the partition that size and the rest of the
hard drive is unallocated.
If that is the case, then you can just extend the current partition to
include the unallocated space.

There are many programs out that there that allow you to do that, without
having to backup and restore.

However, in the future I would look at www.acronis.com (Acronis TrueImage
Backup). They also have a great package (for 49.95) that include TrueImage
Backup and Disk Director - that encompasses everything you would ever need -
and MORE.

I'm not associated with Acronis.

You can also look at www.v-com.com for Partition Commander. I used to use
it for years and NEVER had a problem.

Each provide the flexibility of manipulating partitions without have to
backuping up.
