freeing space on hard drive on xp professional

i can't seem to free enough space to defragment hard drive
how do i do this

Jonny, click on MyComputer>rt click on Drive Icon>Select Properties>Disk
Cleanup>MoreOptions>System Restore-
Cleanup. Say yes to all.
