FreeDOS32 (or FD32 for short) is a 32-bit operating system under development
for the i386 platform, designed to extend the DOS concepts to a native
32-bit environment, in order to offer a better support to modern 32-bit DOS
protected mode applications. FD32 could be a good environment for running
DPMI applications, but also for developing embedded systems based on
low-cost x86 boards

Could you tell us a little more? I looked for it in both pricelessware
listings and didn't see it.

On a link you listed, there was a note about a lot of bugs. I don't need
that.

I have a one M compiled program for a construction builder, written in VB
dos where I used vb's compiler because quick dos's compiler screwed things
up but I wrote my own graphics instead of using vb's graphics. (Frankly, my
graphics are better than I could get from vb's.)

Anyway, would your suggested dos be a good vehicle to convert it into 32 bit
software?

Check my tech website for alternative (stable/free) DOS versions.
btw: PTSDOS (Russian) is only $15 US last time I checked. :-)

I think you could use DR-DOS, IIRC it's freeware now. http://www.drdos.net
