I have been having pc problems these last few days and as a result Freecell
has mysteriously disappeared from my screen and programes list. all that is
on my desktop is an icon with a blank screen underneath which reads Freecell.
This game helps me get through the day so I would appreciateif anyone has any
tips on reloading it or fixing this problem. Thanks!

Go into Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs, then click the Add/Remove
Windows Components in the left pane. With Accessories and Utilities
highlighted on the first screen, click the Details button. Single
left-click Games in the next screen to highlight it, then again click the
Details button. On the resulting screen you can add or remove check marks
from any of the listed games. OK your way back twice (two screens) then
click the Next button and finally Finish. Restart your system, and you
should then see the changes.

It's asking me for windows xp home edition but i have professional on my pc.
should i use this?

Did you upgrade at some point? The file should already be on your system,
unless someone has removed a bunch of files without knowing what they were
doing. Did this work at one time, like a week or so ago? If so, use a
Restore Point in System Restore to return to the point when it was working.

I upgraded a while ago and don't have the home edition. It worked last week.
How do I do the restore point? I will also try the xp pro disc that I Have.
Thank you.

If you upgraded from Home to Pro, perhaps the Pro CD will work. For System
Restore, look in Help and Support and do a Search for "System Restore." The
explanation is there, and the guide will assist you.
