Me and my daughter both have our website at this place called powow
It's totally free. There's no catch. No pop up banners like tripod although
I have nothing against tripod. I've used geocities and I like it too but
this has been the easiest free webspace i've ever used. I guess different
things are easier for different people but I thought I would share it with
the group.
We just have personal websites there. About ourselves. No advertising. We
just like making pages for fun. I would probably design peoples pages for
free that don't know html. I just love doing it.
I'm a stay home mom with juvenile diabetes and i have the time. lol
It's called powow and the end is .com
mine id is 36d and my daughters is 15m. the numbers and letters stand for
our age and first initial of our name.

URL............. ?
She did actually give it, sort of -- although it was wee bit disguised
-- when she wrote:

I took a look at it (www.powow.com) -- it seems straightforward, with a
5 MB initial allowance and more available, paid for by the insertion of
an advertising banner on each of page you create (according to the
TOS).

http://www.powow.com/
But be aware:
"FreeHomePages is capable of giving away free web space thanks to the
sponsorship of our advertisers. Each page that you create will have an
advertising banner automatically inserted into it."

I didn't know if your allowed to post urls in here. I thought you'd figure
it out when i said powow that it's http://powow.com
sorry. Im unsure sometimes what you can do and not do in some groups.
But yes this is totally free. And to me it's very easy to use.
If you know html
jeana

THank you Harvey, thats what i meant,
The only thing is it never allows me to upload music and it is picky about
pictures. It won't upload bmps and pics always have to be in either gif or
jpg format.
I don't know if that applies to most sites or not.
but for free i think it's pretty good.
Love, Jeana

www.port5.com

Free 10MB/month, no ads ever, no banners, CGI access. Best I've found.

Hi jeana,
I appreciate your discretion when you post, then you'll likely want to know
that in this NG (and in all the others worth reading) it's much better that
you bottom post.
Thank you :)
