The file formats are too different. Midi is a synthectic computer generated sound where as a wav file is a true digital recording. I don't think this is really possible; a midi to wav turns the equivalent of a musucians score into sounds, but how on earth would you turn sounds back into a score - only the very simplest sounds are analysable like this, like tone diallers. mike r
