Sorry if this has been answered anywhere, though i would imagine it would
change quite often. Does anyone know of a decent free virus scan webpage
requiring no d/loads or signups? Thank you in advance for any help, it is
greatly appreciated.

Most of the online virus scans will only work if you agree to
download a small agent program that runs on your PC to do the
actual scanning, so I doubt you will find one that does not
require a d/load...

You can use any of a number of freeware scanners (see other
posts in this group) and keep the signature files up to date.
Much better than periodic online scans.

housecall.trendmicro.com has a web based scanner, it uses java and
activeX. Dont fret if it seems to sit there doing nothing at 95%, its
just then getting to scan the hard drive, most of the bar is for the
engine and definition downloads.

symantec has one too but it's buried in their ugly website. Their website
is a BIG reason why I no longer use their products. Too many clicks just
to get to a virus encylopedia lookup. (Just try it, try looking for CIH a
non recent virus a couple years old wont be on the hotlist)

f-prot has a downloadable demo which is updated monthly (not very fresh).
