Dec. 15 my ISP (Rogers in Canada) will discontinue its Usenet service.
Are there free usenet servers available ? Or is there other way to get
access to usenet groups, eg. this one ?
Thanks

I've been using AIOE for several months now. I'd guess they have about a
90 - 95% "good" access record over a typical month. No binaries though...

I would look for an other ISP.
Eskay.

One site which is quite good at finding free/opn nntp/usenet access is:
http://NewzBot.com

Another is:
http://www.newsservers.net

A newsgroup to find free/open nntp/usenet access is available @:
This does get a lot of spam/OT posts :(

You'll find a good few read only free/open nntp/usenet access servers. The
trick is to find one that allows posting also (if required).

If all else fails you can subscribe to a provider eg:
http://OctaNews.com
but, these you pay for, eg: monthly.

No problem and good luck!
