free up some space

Can somebody please help?I have 6gig left on my c/drive and 20 odd gig on my d/drive.A hell of a lot is music files for media player,photos etc,someone told me to move them to my d/drive to make p.c run smoother.IS this true if so can somebody tell me the easiest way to do it?Also some file/program names have started to appear in blue instead of black,why is this?Thanks deehuddy....
 
Hi,

Moving them is as easy as dragging and dripping in Windows Explorer. There
is nothing special here. I prefer to right-click and drag groups, then use
"move".

Blue files indicate that a file or folder has been compressed. This is
normal if you compress older files with disk cleanup. It is also normal for
some system backup folders

Just an Idea, But if they are .MP3 files, you can convert them to
..wma and save a buttload of room.
