I'm trying to run a demo and it says i need 280 mb of
free swap file space to run. What does that mean? I
searched help and it seemed to indicate i can set up a
file partion and reserve a certain about of space ( in
this case i guess i need 280) but i'm not really sure
what the h_ll i'm doing. ANy help?

You can change the swap file settings in the Control Panel > System >
Advanced > Performance > Settings > Advanced > Virtual Memory. There
is no need for to set up an extra partition for the swapfile if you
have enough free disk space on an exiting partition.
Note: you may have to set up the swapfile much larger than 280 MB
because this is the amount of _free_ space that is needed. The
swapfile is used by Windows and other applications as well.
If this does not help, you should contact the author of the software
for further help, specially about if the program is compatible with
Windows XP at all.
