I just installed the free pop up blocker from Google. I am delighted with
it. Easy install, it works, no crashes, etc.

We have it installed on school computers-great for school users

I will admit it works very nicely. I was using FreeSurfer (which
worked well too) and then switched when the new GoogleBar thingy was
introduced.

We could use more companies like Google on the web. They do what they
advertise to do (for free), don't spam you (ever) and don't harvest
information.

What a revelation!

When you install the program, it gives you two options, the "enhanced" or
"standard" (or words to that effect). Read carefully and if you install the
"enhanced" then material, supposedly anonymously, gets sent to Google. I
chose the other option and to my knowledge nothing is being sent to Google.

I run the free AdAware anti-spyware program frequently. I've not seen
anything that sounds like it was attributed to Google.

I do like the pop-up blocker. I was about to buy one from Webroot.com (very
happy with their WindowWasher) but luckily (I hope) found the free Google
before parting with my money.

Thanks to the url for the google-watch group. I'll keep an eye on it.
