Haven't seen any mention of this yet on the newsgroup - thought this
might be of interest to many of you. Basically, this company is
offering a free computer for a few simple referrals. Here's the link:

http://www.FreeDesktopPC.com/default.aspx?referer=8489016

Since this is a new promotion, I haven't heard of anyone receiving the
PC as of yet. But the company is Gratis Internet - same company that
offered similar promotions for free iPods and flat-screen TVs, which I
know of tons of ppl that have already received those. Here's more info
on the iPod for any skeptics (yes, I was one too when I first heard of
this) - the same idea applies to the PC:

I hope this email isn't perceived as spam, but if so I apologize and
won't post again with any similar subject matter. I really do believe
this is a great deal and I imagine many readers will want to take
advantage of this.

*YOUR* referrer link snipped.

Oh dear, so have the "free iPod" schemes dried up and we're now facing a
similar barrage of "free PC" Spam on Usenet?

To the OP: Please FOAD.

Respectfully submitted,
Ian.

watch the referrer ID - he/she makes money for every time someone
clicks the link or signs up.

Some people do not deserve free air, never mind freeware !

Here's what Spamcop has to say about this honest and sincere free PC pitch:

"Cannot use path entry - too forgeable
No source IP address found, cannot proceed."
