Free .mov to .avi converter??

is there a free .mov to .avi converter that doesn't have
a water mark so i can edit video in MM2??

but i think my computer is missing a .avi codec so it
won't let me convert

do you know where i might be able to get it from?

I'm assuming you're picking one of the codecs from the drop down list and
finding that it doesn't work..... try picking another one. Use the Windows
Media 9 codec. If you don't have them, see the link on the Setup > Other
Software page of my website.
