Free monospaced type1 font?

Hi all!

I'm looking for a free monospaced type1/postscript font (sans style,
not courier-like) for text editors, could anyone help?

I think you would be better of in <there are the font
experts.

But, if I understand you correctly, you are not looking for a
"monospaced" font (like Courier) but for a "serifless" "gothic" or
"grotesque" font (like Arial or Helvetica). So, if I understood you
correctly, LondonBetween by Francois Bruel might be what you are looking
for. You can find it at <http://freefonts.fateback.com/>. Even if that
font does not fit your needs, the site might still be helpful.

maybe his one? "Arial Alternative"

Or, Java RE (1.4.02) comes with "Lucida Sans Typewriter"
(see programs, java folder, "lib\fonts"), which is used
by some editors like XMLspy, I would prefer this.
