free LAN racing game?

Can anyone tell me if there is a good free network racing game. Something
like the old Wacky wheels?

Many racing game DEMOs allow you to race multiplayer on a LAN. They
usually only give you one or two tracks/cars, but they are still fun. Go
to your favorite gaming website and look for racing game demos.
