Got an email today at work.
Computer Associates who provides our corporate AV is giving away their Home
AV product .
I do not know how long they will be doing it, but check it out for yourself
at http://www.my-etrust.com/microsoft/.
I know my company LOVE the CA product, but what is the ruling here?
I do not think I can beat FREE unless it is a bad product?

It has been my primary AV for several years. The free offer is only
for the first year. They are counting that you will be sold and
renew the definition subscription by the time the year is up.

I mentioned it is my 'primary' AV, not my only AV. If you put all
your faith in one AV, sooner or later you could get bit. Free Avast
is my backup AV. http://www.avast.com

Consider AV's to be your last line of defense.
Good Safehex practices should be your first line of defense.

For the duration of Swen, my address is inoperative.

I disagree. If your one and only AV is a quality product (i.e. KAV,
Nod32, McAfee, etc) AND you have some common sense about you, one
should be sufficient.
