The faxing software on XP is absolutely terrible. Can anyone suggest a
nice simple fax program to send word documents that I could use
instead. The ideal would be something like Mightfax, which I have on my
old '98 machine but which won't run on XP. qrw

Really is nice when you just print to fax and type in the phone number and
destination and fill in the cover page then send. Can't get any simpler
than that. Use it all the time to send many different types of pages that I
create on many different software programs.

It is junk. :

1. If the fax doesn't do through, there is no obvious way to resend
without starting from scratch.
2. If have to type in a 10 digit access code and a 10 digit number
every time because it does not let me omit the 1 on long distance
numbers, as required by my LD service. I have to type in 20 digits for
everty single $&^#%^ fax I send. Oh yeah, and them my access code gets
sent on the fax.
3. The fax console is terribly designed. A properly design one would
let be selecrt a fax document in the outbox and let me right click and
select fax to send. This is very basic user interface design, but they
even bungle that. As far as I can tell there is no way to send a fax a
document from the console.
4. It does not show progress of the fax.
5. When you preview fax, an image viewer comes up. It does not have an
operation for send fax. It took me an hour to figure out that you can
close the viewer without losing the fax. Dreadful, readlly dreadful
design.

Mightyfax has none of these pproblems. It is simple, direct and works
like a charm. Like I said, it is junk.

try "winfax pro" great program if its available for XP I'm using "NT" version
