free audio playing software with special effects

a few years ago i had audio player with effect's that played the music in
different 'sounds'. i.e. concert hall, headphones, radio, open air and a few
more. can someone recomend such free software as i have forgotten the name of
it. i have xp pro fully updated

............... then Google for it.

Or try Audacity.
