does anybody know about some free application for hotel booking, close to "Ericsoft Hotel" or similar?

That is a difficult question.

My advice would be to search on freshmeat.net and sourceforge.net. I
warn you that many of the projects there are still under development,
or are not free, or do not run on MS-Windows, or only run on a web
server. I hope you find one that meets your needs.
