Hi!

Is there any free anti-virus (and perhaps firewall) software outthere
that you would recommend? It needs to be userfriendly since its for a
person who has never had a pc before. Oh and its for Windows XP :)

| Agree with Duane about the firewalls, I personally use ZoneAlarm, really
| easy interface, not sure of the address but you can do a search for
| ZoneAlarm on any search engine, but look for the one that points to "grc",
| it is ZA home site, they also have a testing area, would also recommend
| downloading their "grc's" unplug n' pray, specifically for XP, else you
may
| have to worry about someone highjacking your computer.

ZoneAlarm has nothing to do with grc.com. The home page is:
http://www.zonelabs.com

I got McAffee Professional Edition from Bearshare. It has all you're looking
for.

Hi,

I find McAfee to be buggy. I have never ever had an issue with Kaspersky
Anti-Virus. Its simple no strings software is top notch. www.kaspersky.com

Regards,

Ian.
