My problem was that my browser would not open www.adobe.com. Your suggestion
was to open "hosts". My hosts file was completely empty. I renamed hosts
hostsOld. This has not helped. Wondering if you have any other suggestions.I
am a graphic designer, and i frequent adobe.com alot. As of now, i am only
able to do it from work.
By the way Frank, a couple of months back you solved my IE6 crashing
problems, attributing it to spyware/scumware. I am grateful.

the fact that i cannot access www.adobe.com. from my desktop. When i type
the URL, I get a "this page cannot be displayed". I am running Win98SE. I
have checked my security settings. I have a Linksys router. Am using Norton
AV. A laptop running Win98ME that is connected to my network is able to
access adobe.com. Why not the desktop?--
