framework redistributable vs languages

BASED ON CREATING INSTALLATIONS FOR AROUND THE WORLD:

What is the difference between different versions (english, german, etc) of
the v1.1 framwork resdistributable?
When creating an installation for your application, where you want to
pre-install the framework, does it matter which version you use?
I also saw there are language packs. Can you install the english framework
and let the end user install their language pack if they so desire? Or is
this not there intended use?

TIA

As the internationalization is done via sattelite assemblies.
I guess the answer is you could let the user (*if* he has admin access)
install his language pack!..

Hi Kenneth,

In fact, as for the installed runtime library themselves, there're not
difference between the different language redistributable packages. The
multi-language version are just provided to supply different language based
UI during the installation time. In other word, the multi-language version
of the redistributable package won't affect the final installed framework's
globalization/localization features.

Thanks,
