Framework 1.1 SP1 and Serbian (Latin) locale

I had some problems with localization after installing SP1 for .Net
framework 1.1. I think I've found a solution, too, but would like an
"official" opinion on this topic :)

Now, if I'm correct, in SP1 the "Serbian (Latin) (Serbia)" locale was
renamed to "Serbian (Latin) (Serbia and Montenegro)". This caused errors
in Visual Studio when opening windows forms that were last saved with
the Serbian locale. I managed to solve this by editing the RESX file
directly (from notepad, just to be safe) and changing the
"$this.Language" entry's value to "(Default)". Is this the only thing I
should do?

Also, I was unable to find any mention of this on MSDN. Will this affect
my application's backward compatibility?

Thanks in advance!
