Working with Frames: I must have done something to cause this, cuz it just
started yesterday.

All of my pages for one website (in frames) open fine. For each of the tabs
for the various pages after opening them in FrontPage (2002), they all read
index.htm. What's with that. The real index.htm points to the two left and
right frame pages. As is common, my left frame has links that open on the
right and this works just fine. Starting last night, when I open them (in
FP), they are all reporting that they are named index.htm (which isn't
really true - they all have unique names). Note that when I open these
pages, on the net after publishing, they are named correctly and behave
correctly, but when I'm working with them ... it makes me crazy that they
are all showing up as being "index.htm". I did a repair yesterday and
rebooted, but it didn't help.

Any thoughts?

Strangely enough Thomas, it's not happening now. It's kinda wierd. Maybe
the thing was posessed yesterday (everything is up-to-date and clean, so
don't know what it's about). It's not a finite science, that's for sure.

Anyway, with the frameset page open, the sub-frame pages are opening with
their "real name".

Thanks for your help.

When you work with the pages in FP, you do not need to have the frameset
page open, just the individual pages that you are working with.

Hmmm ... I thought that I'd responded to this ... but obviously not.
Thanks Thomas. It would seem that this is no longer a problem. Perhaps
there was a hiccup somewhere. Now it doesn't matter how I open them, they
are opening with their real name. The mystery will probably never be
solved, but I'm certainly glad to have it working properly again.

Thanks again, for the response. They are always appreciated. There's still
a couple of things I'm not entirely clear on, but as I work through it, it's
gettting a little less muddy!!!
