Frame for a field

Is there a way to have a frame around a field that
automatically going to expend/shrink as the field
information is not always the same?

If not, can I add a background picture to a field so the
background will automatically be adjusted?

If you can't use the control's border as frame, the only place i can
think of for you to look is:
