First I had a wireless MS mouse then a logitech - both around $40,
sleek 2.4ghz things.

At first they looked awesome but within a mouse they have both fraken
(battlestar gallatica) died and I am pissed to going back to the wired
variety which are useless on the train.

Piece of crap hardware, really pisses me these companies are selling
it.

Did you change the batteries?

Have you tried the "reset" button?

Not being a smartass, just making sure the bases are covered. I can
understand one case of infant mortality, but two is a stretch.

I have had a wireless moue/keyboard set for nearly a year and have had no
problems.
Since you have problems with 2 different makes, there are a few questions...
Was the failure the same with both?
Have you followed the troubleshooting and reset was appropriate
Periodically I need to reset because the mouse moves sluggishly.
Have you tried a different USB port?

The failure was the same in that the mouse cursor stopped moving,
period.

I dont see a reset button on this Logitech wireless mouse... I'll
search online.

USB port works fine for regular mice, but no I hosed my other port with
some lunch contents a while ago....

Even better than reset - there is a ON/OFF button.

Now I've got to dig out my old mice out of the trash lol.

Point to manufacturers please mark on/off buttons with on/off.

Point to self. RTFM.
