It's just unbelievable the percentage of my c: drive that
is fragmented. I'd tell you how much but I just started
the defragmentation and I'm sure it will take a long
time. My question is, How do I remove or delete (or
whatever the term is) all of these fragmented files from
my c:? Thanks in advance.

You don't remove fragments. You defrag, and the defrag program puts your
fragmented programs back end to end instead of all chopped up.

The best thing is to run the disk cleanup program to get rid of all
unnecessary junk, then run defrag.
Do this once or twice a week to keep the defrag time to a minimum and your
drive running smother. Also run chkdsk at least once a week or more.

You run defrag. But you're already doing that. When you're finished, there
will still be some files that are fragmented. This is normal.
