I had EWF RAM Reg mode and Horm enabled, I built the image then used ewfmgr
c: -enable, then ewfmgr c: -activatehorm, then I did xpepm -hibernate.
The system created the hibernation file and said it was safe to shutdown. I
powered up and all was working fine. I then wanted to add a few files to
the drive, so I deactivated horm, disabled ewf, committed and resbooted. I
added the required files, enabled EWF, and horm. (I tried reboots between
each step as well with no luck).
Now when I use xpepm -hibernate I get error 995 and the hibernation file is
never created. If I use the horm code from MS to lock volumes, I get Horm
is not enabled on this Image. It uses the powerlib to see if Hibernation is
active and evidently it's failing that step.
Why would it work several times and now it doesn't. Does anyone have a clue
to how I can get it going again please?
BTW, there is a resmany.dat file in the root directory of the c drive.
Thanks,
Richard
