I hear that FP2003 requires product activation. Does anyone know if this
applies to the computer, the user, the hard drive or etc.?

Basically, I use a backup hard drive for some webs. -The drives are
swappable in/out of the same computer. If I upgrade to FP2003, will one
activation cover installation on both hard drives (same computer) or am I
expected to buy to copies of FrontPage for the same computer but different
hard drives?

Thanks

Activation applies to the specific application and hardware installed, it
does not apply to any files/webs created by the user. You will only be able
to install it on a single HD, as it will consider the second installation as
a different machine. You might consider have a single C drive for the OS and
Application then have swappable HD for storing data files, as all Office
2002 and 2003 products require activation.

You must be running Windows 2000 or Windows XP in order to install FP2003.

BTW: FP2002 also requires activation.

Frontpage 2000 and 2002 also required 'activation' otherwise it stopped working
after 50 runs of the program. It is just a registration process, but this might
differ for FP 2003 but I don't think it is the same as the activation required
for Windows XP.

FP2002 and FP2003 require Activation (as in Win XP)
