Does anyone know why MS have made it neccessary to use Sharepoint to insert
a database into FP2003?
I found it so much easier to use the FP98 direct insert.
I am not familiar with Sharepoint,
Thanks

Sharepoint is not necessary to use the Database Results or Interface
Wizards. What steps are you following? Are you getting an error message?

SharePoint is only one of THREE different technologies you can use to
connect to a database with in FrontPage 2003. You can also use ASP or
ASP.Net.

Hi Thanks for replying.
I opened a new blank page, saved it with .asp , selected a point to insert
a query for an existing database and a dialog box appeared saying I must use
"Sharepoint" , the same thing occured when using .htm
Thanks again

FP2003 use the word "SharePoint" to also refer to the FP extensions.

Do you have a web opened - as opposed to just a page? Are you trying this
in a server-based web or a disk-based web? Have you imported a database into
your web and created the database connection?
