After installing FP2003, the first time I clicked on a .pdf link
Frontage2003 wanted to update itself. It called for the CDRom (because
I chose not to save installation files locally) but I don't know why
or what it did.

What I do know is that clicking on a .pdf link no longer worked....
until I reinstalled Acrobat 6.0.

Anyone else?

BTW, I have Office XP, and installed ONLY FP2003, in c:\program
files\microsoft office folder. Was that ok, or does FP2003 need to be
in a seperate folder? The reason I ask is that the first time I loaded
a .doc file after loading FP2003 I was prompted to insert the Office
XP disc....

Uninstall the Beta and the reinstall it in custom mode to a separate folder and do not install the shared MSO components, or if you
install them, reinstall MSO XP after you install the BETA

Warning
- the Beta is not approved for running w/ prior versions of MSO so you are doing so at your own risk
- make sure you have set a restore point before installation and keep backups of critical data

Thank you. I looked all over for info on compatibility w/prior
versions of MS Office. I don't want to take any chances with my system
so I guess I'll uninstall Office XP and then install the MS Office
beta PLUS FrontPage 2003.
