Same Error Message after I
a) import image into website Images then try to insert onto webpage
rather than try to insert directly from hard drive Images file. Please
note that this never occurred in any form before with FP2002. I even
reloaded the program, without effect.
Please advise.
Thanks, Stuart

Dear Mr. Rowe: thank you for your response.
1) Jpegs, under 50kbs.
2) Error message actually appears before I get to individual Image, at
the opening of the Image folder.
3) Modified either in Photoshop or directly saved from internet. Don't
know if coincidental but Error Message after saving several images from
eBay and placing them in Multimedia folder where non-web Images first
stored.
4) No Video driver updates installed.
Stuart

Mr. Rowe: one further observation. When I open FP 2002 for the first
time, there is no Error Message. However, anytime with the program open
I attempt to bring Images into open web the error message occurs,
whether I bring them in from the Image folder in the open web or from
outside the web. Does this help?

Procedure: tried to add Image in FP2002 to existing webpage
by opening PHOTOS file in from Multimedia Files on my hard
drive.

ERROR MESSAGE: "An unexpected error occurred. Not enough
memory available to complete the operation. Close other
programs to make more memory available and then try again."

No other programs were open and I have 512DDR. Running XP
Home. When I add an Image already in FP 2002 Images file,
this error message doesn't appear. It only appears in
FP2002, not when I run bigger graphic operations in
Photoshop 7.0 or elsewhere.

Never had this happen before. HELP!!
Thanks, Stuart

Always import any images to be used into your current open FP web prior to
using them.

What type of images (jpegs, gifs)?
How large are these image (kbs)?
What application created or last modified them?
Have you installed any Video Driver updates?

The following can help solve some memory issues:

Have you cleared you Windows Temp and FP Temp Folders?
Have search for and deleted the hidden/system *.web files
Have you emptied your Recycle Bin?
Have you run a scandisk or defrag of your HD lately?

What is the size of your virtual memory?
If Windows is managing it, try setting it to 500 MB for both min and max,
after you have run a scandisk and defrag and then do cold re-boot.

Dear Mr. Rowe:
Thank you again.
1) FP Temp Folders - where are these located?
2) hidden/system *.web files - where are these located?

Stuart Clurman

No change. Also restored Default Settings in Detect/Repair. What's
unusual (to me anyway) is that first time I open Image folder, no Error
Message. In successive openings Error Message.
Stuart

The FP TEMP files are in your Default Temp Folder
- usually Windows\TEMP
The Web Cache Files are hidden system (known type files)
Search for *.web (advanced including hidden system files)
In Win XP they are in
C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
