Several users have reported this problem
(seems the uninstall does not clean out some registry entries)
Try the below registry edit before you repair/reinstall MSO XP/ FP 2002
Find the key
hkcu/software/microsoft/frontpage/explorer/fp explorer/settings
Any of the values listed in here that start with the number 5 should be
deleted. This will reset all of the column widths, etc, but it will get the
filenames and any other problems resolved.
There should only be one or two for folder view, but any view that was
used/modified with a beta version of FP2003 could be affected.
PS
Also delete all FP Temp and *.web files before opening FP2002, then run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks

| Hi Stefan
| I deleted all files according to your msg. Since I am using a german
| language system I deleted the files in folder 1031 instead of 1033. However
| it did not work. After reinstallation the failure is the same as before.
| I try now an other way : I uninstall all programs which I installed
| recently.
| Do you have a better advice?
| Bye
| Dieter
