How can I tell if the FP 2000 Server extensions are

1. Start FrontPage.
2. Choose Open Web from the File menu.
3. Type your site's URL, such as http://www.mysite.com,
then click Open.

If you get a message saying that the FP Extensions aren't
installed, then you know. Otherwise, satisfy any
username/password prompts, then choose Web Settings on the
Tools menu. Note the first digit that follows FrontPage
Server Extension version.

5 means FrontPage 2002 Extensions
4 means FrontPage 2000 Extensions
3 means FrontPage 98 Extensions
2 means FrontPage 97 Extensions
1 means FrontPage 1.1 Extensions

Or browse to any home page (root web) and see if the page _vti_inf.html exists
as in http://www.yourdomain.com/_vti_inf.html
If it exists, you can view source to see which version of the FP SE is installed

Note - this will not tell you if the FP SE are properly configured or healthy
