Hal

I attempt to open a web folder on a server and get the
following error after typing in the full and correct URL:

The folder 'http://www.somedomain.com' isn't accessible.
The folder may be located in an unavailable location,
protected with a password, or the filename contains a /
or \.

I can open the same site on another computer that I have
right next to me (same network connection) which has
Frontpage 2000 on it without any problems, so I know
Frontpage Server extensions are not the problem.

The folder "http://Website" isn't accessible. The folder may be located on
an unavailable volume or protected with a password.

Tom, thanks for the reply.

Only the following link seemed to have some relevance:
http://support.microsoft.com:80/support/kb/articles/Q272/5
/42.asp

I was able to launch Frontpage from the command line with
the URL-web address passed to it, and it opened normally
after requiring me to log in.

This problem is only occurring on my Frontpage XP (2002),
while another computer connecting to same URL running
Frontpage 2000 has no problem connection.

It appears that there this is a Microsoft problem via the
caveat at the end of the above kb article: "Microsoft has
confirmed that this is a problem in FrontPage 2000 Server
Extensions."

Again, thanks for the references.
