FP will not install. Locks up looking for MS Office. I have Office 2003
student and teacher edition installed.

Is it true there is only paid and user volunteer support for FP? If so,
that stinks.

Which version of FrontPage??

Is it an upgrade disk or a full install disk.

Which version of FP are you trying to install? And, what is the source? Is
it a separate licensed cd version?

I'd bet he has an upgrade and didn't know that STE can't be upgraded.

Are you installing an upgrade? If so, Office 2003 does not qualify as an
upgrade only FP 2002 or previous would be an upgrade.

Which version of FP is this for? You might try doing a custom install and
unselecting all the options that are shared Office components since this may
not have it ask for Office 2003 information.

There is more than the volunteer and paid support. MS has tons of free
information, mostly from questions that have been asked through support
lines before, at their support.microsoft.com and
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;en-us;Fp2003 web sites.

Hope this helps,

It appears that my MS 2003 did not qualify for upgrade because it did not
include FP. Since my FP 2002 disk was also and upgrade I had to find my six
year old MS office 2000 disc (back then office included .

Had to use my six year old MS Office 2000 disk. Seems everything I have
purchased since then is an upgrade. I better hang on to those old CDs.

You're supposed to keep the old versions whenever you upgrade anyway.

Agreed. I keep my old FP discs in the latest FP box. My FP2003 box
contains FP97 qualifying disc, and the FP2000, FP 2002, and FP2003
Upgrade discs.

Ditto for Office and OS products.
