FP2000 - whenever I preview my site within FrontPage, if I click on
a link that take me to one of my other pages - unlike my web browser -
there is no "Back" button. Or is it somewhere and I just don't know??

I want to get back to the referring page so that I can then continue
editing my web. But my only option is to close the window - which
closes my entire preview and the page. Then to get back I have to
double-click the original page where I linked from to continue
working.

Surely there is a way to go back ??

Right-click the page, and then choose Back from the
shortcut menu.

If you click the Normal tab, you should return to Page
view on page that was active before you entered Preview
mode.

I've given you some choices.

Woohoooooo - worked like a charm !!!

Right-click the page, and then choose Back from the

I know what you mean - did you try right-click, and use the "back" item (if there
is one?). Else, click the "Normal" view tab at botom of screen and you'll have
the original page, then click preview again. (since the preview is really for
previewing one page (giving an approximate idea of how it looks in a browser),
not navigate the site. Preview in your browser(s) as well is the best idea (just
use the local path C:\.......or if you have a IIS server (or that 'funny' FP98
web server thingy) or something running, use the http://localhost (or whatever)
address that points to your web.
