FP 2003 & Office 2000

You can have both installed, just do a custom install of FP2003 to a new
folder.

No, I meant will I have to upgrade the other Office Programs (Word, etc.) to
2003 for everything to work together smoothly.
 
It depends on what you consider "work together smoothly" to mean. Prior
versions are not going to be able to deal with new functions or features.

And don't install the Common Office Tools (or you will lose MSO 2000 common tools)

To upgrade FP will cost me $99 or less depending on a price I can find. I
think to get the rest of Office 2003 (basic) will cost another $150 to 200
and I've
heard about all this xml stuff that makes me wonder if I should upgrade
Office 2000 so everything will work together. Stephan just mentioned not
installing the Common Office Tools. I just don't want any problems.
