FP 2002 suddenly disabled itself

I bought a full (not upgrade) copy of FP 2002 from a
major retail chain store about a year ago. It has been
working just fine. A couple of days ago it suddenly
(without any warning messages) disabled itself. That is,
it will open a file in FP 2002 and then a second later
the workspace will gray out. As I pass the mouse over the
tool bar options (also grayed out), the mouseover message
says "This command not available until you renew your
license." Huh??!!!

Since when does a single copy, full version have to have
its "license" renewed??? Any ideas what is going on here?

One other relevant fact, about a month ago, the laptop
computer on which this was originally installed died and
I bought a new laptop and re-installed FP on the new
computer.

Since you moved it to another computer, it must be re-registered. You need
to go through the renewal process and choose phone activation to get it
done.
