Having just upgraded from 2000 to 2002, I cannot figure
out how to use the old 'External Hyperlink' feature from
the Navigation View. Uner FP 2002 there is an 'Add
existing page' menu item, but it does not have the desired
effect for me: namely to link to a page which has already
be dragged into the navigation elsewhere. This is
particularly useful for linking via a shared border
navigation to the same page twice (or more) from two
different locations.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanx

To add an external link to your nav bar:
- From the Views menu, select Navigation
- Right click on the page in your navigation structure that you want your
external page linked under.
- Select Add Existing Page from the context menu to launch the Insert
Hyperlink dialog box
- In the Insert Hyperlink dialog box, type or paste the full URL of the
external page you want to add to the navigation structure in the Address:
field
- Click the OK button and FrontPage will add the external page to the
navigation structure. Note the small globe icon on the page in the
navigation structure - this indicates that it is an external page.

If you want to have a single page in several places on the nav structure,
there is a trick to do this. Say the page you want in more than one place
in the structure is called "A"
create a new blank page - then include page "A" on that new page. You can
give the new page the same title as page A if you want. Now drag the new
page into the structure where you want it. You can do this several times
with new pages and just include the whole page A in the new page.
