I am the webmaster for http://okc-hearingloss.org and have been
managing this site with my FP 2000. I am considering upgrading to
a later version of FP or perhaps to another client. I would like
to get some recommendations and opinions from this group. Is FP
the way to go, or should I consider changing to another
client...Dreamweaver, perhaps?

Thanks, Gordon

My opinion - download the trial of Expression Web from
http://www.microsoft.com/products/expression/en/expression-web/free-trial.mspx
(do not forget the product key - there is a link to it on this page.)
and try it.

Expression Web is a replacement, NOT an upgrade, for FrontPage, but is
available at upgrade pricing.

IMPORTANT - After installing, type in the product key and activate the
program, then close and re-open the program. (Some users have to reboot
the PC). If you don't activate and restart the trial may end before you
really begin.

Does anyone know of any issues with the link to download Expression? I get
time out errors. Can't get to the registration screen (MS Passport logon or
whatever) to continue the download/get the product key. This has happend
two weekends in a row. I though perhaps it was because the demand on the
server is high (lots of people d/loading) but apears to be something else.

This is the error:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

What you can try:
Diagnose Connection Problems

More information

This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:
Internet connectivity has been lost.
The website is temporarily unavailable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's
domain.
If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options,
click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled
under the security section.
For offline users
You can still view subscribed feeds and some recently viewed webpages.
To view subscribed feeds
Click the Favorites Center button , click Feeds, and then click the feed you
want to view.
To view recently visited webpages (might not work on all pages)
Click Tools , and then click Work Offline.
Click the Favorites Center button , click History, and then click the page
you want to view.

Thanks.

Both work fine for me
