Title says it all. Vista insists on install a new (and VERY faulty)
ATI serial controller driver. There is none thing showing up in Device
Manager indicating a Unkown device, and the device driver appears to
work, but EVERY time I reboot, it wants to install. I have told it to
never ask me again, but it does. Is there a registry key fix to
this??? It is driving me made ( and that is not that far to go!!)

I am having the same issue, only this morning it now says to insert disk for
my mouse and keyboard. My wireless keyboard is working but my mouse won't
work. checked all buttons and batteries and still nothing. Now that I have
switched to a usb mouse it is working but now getting two messages. I feel a
domino effect coming on. Anyone have any answers?

Under VP you could delete the hardware, reboot and XP would "discover"
the hardware again. I can't find any way to do this under Vista.
MS at it's best...again!
