Below is an entry in my event viwer. Windows xp pro. Does not look good.
What is it and how do I get rid of it? Brand new reinstall. I think it was
inserted before I did all security upgrades. Which is a catch 22. You
can't upgrade until you connect to the web and during the period before
updates you are subject to all kinds of intrusions.

"A provider, HiPerfCooker_v1, has been registered in the WMI namespace,
Root\WMI, to use the LocalSystem account. This account is privileged and the
provider may cause a security violation if it does not correctly impersonate
user requests."

My research and your help did prove it to be a non intrusive entry placed by
the sp1a service pack. I was worried it was jammed in reg by an outside
hacker.

Thanks
