Forwarding an appointment, receipent cannot add to their calendar

When I create an appointment in my personal outlook calendar & "forward" that
appointment using a selection from the "Actions" (Ctrl+F), some receipents
cannot add the appointment to their calendar by opening the attachment and
selecting "Save & Close" from the "File" menu.

Any Suggestions?
 
Suggest to them that they drag the attached appointment from the message to
the Calendar folder.

I have a related problem. When I forward an appointment from my home computer
to my work computer, I can easily add it to my calendar at work. However,
when I send an appointment from work to my home computer, it does not allow
me to add it to my calendar at home. I get a message "As the meeting
organizer you do not have to respond". I tried to save it and drag it, but
nothing works. Both machines run Office 2007 on Windows XP.
Any thoughts?
