Hi,

I want to forward a distribution list from my contacts folder at work to my
home PC. I'm using Outlook 2002 on both PC's. I can forward an individual
contact by opening the contact and then going to actions, forward as vcard.
I receive it at home and it opens fine. If I open a distribution list and
go to actions, the only option I have is to forward. If I do this, I get an
email at home with an attachment in .msg format. When I open the attachment
it's a blank email. My distribution list will not forward to my home PC.
Any ideas what I could be doing wrong or is there a setting that needs
changed somewhere?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

How do I insert the list as an Outlook Item?

Instructions from down under.......

Make a new email. Put your cursor in the space you usually type in. Then
click on Insert, Item, and scroll to find the Contacts folder, then within
it, the distribution list. Click the distibution list to Insert it in your
email.

Ta daaaaaa!

Read Judy's post. If you're still lost, then at least post your Outlook
version and editor so we can give you more specific instructions.

Thanks Judy. I tried this and I still get the same results. When I receive
the email at home it appears as a .msg format attachment. The attachment
has a yellow envelope icon instead of the DL icon. When I double click the
attachment it opens another email window which is just blank.

When I try sending from home to work, using the method you explained, it
works. Any idea what type of setting would cause it to work one way, but
not the other?

FYI, for anyone who didn't read my original post, I'm using Outlook 2002 on
both ends.

Thanks for your help.

Change your message format to RTF. Use the Insert Item command insert the DL
into the message.

Are you sending the email in RTF format and is it being received in
that format?
