Hi all,

If I get automatic forwarded mail from my boss, I also get the mail in
wich he was addressed in the cc field. Can I reveal to whom this
message was originally send to in an easy way?

All the best, Bert

How is the automatic forwarding taking place? If it's being bounced or
'redirected' so that the original sender's name is still in the From field,
you can check the message headers (view | options). If your boss is doing
the forwarding, all you'll see in the headers is his address (and if you're
both on an Exchange server, you probably won't see a header at all).

Hi,

The mail is redirected and we are both on an exchange server.
I understand that it is not esay to lookup. The message headers will
reveal some info, but we are talking about many mail messages..... I'm
only interested in the messages in wich he was addressed (not the ones
where he was in the cc field).

Other than manually identifying the messages & looking at the headers, I'm
not sure what to advise. What's your real goal here?

(please don't snip out the quoted text when you reply in the group - it
makes it very difficult for others to follow the thread)

Sorry for the late reply,

I was hoping to sort/filter them is some way.
My boss gets a lot of mail where he is in the cc field. There are
never actions for me on those emails. But if he is addressed directly
I do have to reply or take other actions. So it would be very
convenient to make a filter/sort on the original addressee.

Thanks so far, Bert

Why doesn't he just give you access to his inbox, as a delegate? Then you
can see everything directly....and you can use search folders, etc., to help
find stuff.

I Think that will be my best option indeed! This is how he wanted it,
but I will convice him to do it otherwise.
Thanks for the answers!

You're welcome - I think this will be a lot easier & more reliable (and will
save space on your server as you won't have duplicated messages).
