If a Windows 2000 DNS server is configured with multiple
forwarders, how does it determine which forwarder to use?

Does it:

a) Work through the list from top to bottom? (or bottom
to top?)

b) Simultaneously contact each and whichever responds
first is the one it uses?

c) Something else?

TTIA

DNS will query each forwarder individually top down in the list until it receives a response.

You said the same as I did except you didn't meantion what happens
on "no response" -- I said, "wait for each until timeout".

Do you agree or wish to amend that?
