my forward look up zone...which is my acive directory
intergrated zone...is corrrupted....i deleted it....this
was dumb i know...however is there a way to recreate the
folders that active directory created there?

I believe you can recreate the zone that corresponds to
your domain, allow dynamic DNS and then stop and restart
netlogon service. You can also copy/paste the data from
the netlogon.dns file (mine is c:\winnt\system32\config)
directly into your zone.dns file.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

sorry it is service pack 4 one domain...2 domain
controllers....both zones on each machine were erased.

If you set "allow dynamic updates" to"Yes" and restart netlogon service the
sub folders and SRV records will come back

Keeping in mind to make sure that the ISP's DNS servers are not in IP
properties.

Also, Robert didn't respond whether this is a single label domain name.
Robert, can you post an ipconfig /all. That'll give us a better idea of
what's going on.

Thanks
