I am trying to setup DNS to look to other DNS servers when
the name is not known. I used to have the article for the
directions, but I am unable to find it again. I am
wondering if anyone knows where the article about removing
the root hint so an AD intergrated DNS server can look to
other DNS servers is located.

Probably someone will tell you (you can just search at MS
support) but it is easier enough you don't need an "article."

Just use the DNS MMC and delete the root zone -- use the
server properties dialog sheets to find the Forwarding Tab
and fill in the forwarders (at your ISP etc.)

[If this is not a separate zone from your "real" zone, you will
need to re-create the actual zone.]
