I'm having repeated trouble with my posts just not showing up at the forum. What could be causing ? This is 3rd attempt to post

I'm new to Outlook 2003. In O 2000, when I did send/receive, the status box would display how many messages were downloading. In 2003, it won't display-- just does the green status bar. How do I turn on the number of messages indicator ?? Thanks in advance

See the right bottom corner for the details. You might need to enable the
statusbar; View-> Statusbar

Thanks for reply, Roady.

I went to View in my Standard Tool Bar in Outlook--Is that where I need to go ? The Statusbar is already "checked." What else can I do ? Thanks in advance

Perhaps you just aren't seeing the replies. I see a reply from Jocelyn
Fiorello to your post in here of 3/2, for what it's worth.

You might want to consider using a newsreader like Outlook Express or Forte
Agent rather than the web interface to the newsgroups - it's a lot easier to
do nearly everything there, including searching, which is always a good idea
to do before you post, as well as mark messages to be watched, and filter
based on replies to your posts.

The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can
subscribe to as many groups as you like. -

Then you would see the number of messages being downloaded, pecentage
completed and total size in the right bottom corner of Outlook when
downloading the messages. It's not being displayed in the Send/Receive
pop-up.
